(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Officials at the St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana are celebrating the success of their first “Heartnet” patient 2 months after the first surgery performed in Indiana.
The Heart Center is participating in a clinical trial for the surgical option for patients with heart failure and enlarged hearts.
The Heartnet procedure allows an elastic restraint to be placed on the heart to gently squeeze the heart to prevent the progression of heart failure and lessen its effects.
