(LOUISVILLE, KY) - Indiana and Kentucky are trying to clear away a final obstacle to construction of two new bridges connecting Louisville to Clark County, Indiana.
Kentucky faces a Tuesday deadline to make recommendations to Governor Steve Beshear on the project's design and how to pay for Kentucky's share.
Kentucky law requires final project approval from the legislature.
INDOT Chief of Staff Bob Zier says each state has named a five-member panel to keep both sides in sync as the project moves forward.
