(FORT WAYNE, IN) - Officials for Michigan-Based General Motors say the addition of third shift at its Fort Wayne Facility could create as many as 700 jobs.
The new jobs are expected to pump an additional $50 million into the area's economy, as well as boost demand for housing and other services.
GM's workforce in Fort Wayne is expected to reach about 2,800 once all workers are hired.
