(UNDATED) - The Walmart, Marsh and Kroger stores are kicking off a “Hoosiers helping Hoosiers” food drive in recognition of hunger awareness month.
Indiana Senator Richard Lugar made the announcement Friday, standing before a map of Indiana constructed of 6,720 canned goods stacked by employees at a Walmart store in Plainfield.
Once the display is disassembled, the food will be donated to the Gleaners Food Bank.
