(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Department of Waterworks is proposing to increase rates by 35 percent to pay for $111 million in upgrades to its system.
The average residential customer using 5,240 gallons of water per month would see their monthly bill rise by about $8.
The process to get rate approved by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission takes 9 to 12 months.
