(FAIRMOUNT, IN) - Police say a Fairmount man who was caught waist-deep in a grain auger has died.
Emergency crews were called to Ceres Midland Grain Elevator Company in Fairmount around 3:15 Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say 58-year-old Daniel Shock was working alone when a co-worker heard him screaming for help.
A grain auger is a motorized machine that is often used to move grain from trucks and carts into storage bins.
I-OSHA Investigators are expected Friday to visit the company and begin their own investigation.
