(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - A Purdue Professor will be awarded world food prize today in Iowa.
Purdue distinguished professor of agronomy Gebisa Ejeta is receiving what is known as the Nobel
Prize for agriculture for his work to help people in his native ethiopia grow enough food to feed themselves.
He has focused on developing varieties of sorghum that are resistant to drought and a parasitic weed.
