(LAFAYETTE) - A Cloverdale man was resentenced Monday to life in prison for the 1993 murder of a ten-year-old boy.
37-year-old Christopher Stevens' original sentence was overturned by the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in 2007.
He had been scheduled to stand trial again in February 2010.
However, a deal was reached in which Stevens would be sentenced to life in prison without parole.
The murder of Zachary Snider led to a state sex-offender registry law.
