(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Holiday blues can affect anyone and this year more people may be suffering from seasonal depression.
Carol Juergensen, a psychotherapist with Clarian Health in Indianapolis, says an increase in the holiday doldrums is expected because of the economic downturn.
In order to avoid the blues people need to strategize and prioritize what they want out of the holidays.
According to Juergensen the blues can be treated with counseling or medication.
A few people suffer from a chronic condition know as seasonal affective disorder, or sad.
This biochemical condition can be helped with exercise and vitamins.
