(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - An Indianapolis city employee is facing charges for allegedly using his position to tow abandon cars and sell them for scrap.
Charges were filed Thursday against Code Enforcement Officer Chad Frye.
Frye's job entailed investigating abandoned cars and reporting them to supervisors for removal by a city-contracted company.
Instead, officials allege Frye towed the cars through another company to be sold the cars to a junkyard.
