Man Falls To Death In Silo

(DECATUR, IN) - Authorities are investigating the death of a man in northeast Indiana who fell about 80 feet into a silo Tuesday.

Workers were doing routine cleaning and maintenance on one of the silos when the victim fell.

Members of the Preble Fire Department, Decatur Fire Department, and Adams County EMS worked for about several hours to rescue and recover the man.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
