(INDIANAPOLIIS, IN) - The Indiana Court of Appeals says a man who nearly lost a finger at a Hammond Tavern is entitled to $275,000.
The court rejected the owner's claim that the $275,000 judgment was excessive.
Court records indicate Mererdo Villarreal was trying to leave flat rock tap when his finger was slammed in the door as the tavern's owner was kicking out another patron.
