(HAMMOND, IN) - An Ohio-based company is planning to close a metal framing plant next week in Illinois and move the work to Hammond.
Columbus business first reports Worthington industries says of the 64 affected workers in Joliet, about 20 have been transferred to Hammond.
The company attributes the decision to the downturn in the construction industry.
