(MUNCIE, IN) - Retail sales are slightly up from last year’s numbers.
This year stores have braced themselves for the worst-possible scenario stocking less on the shelves.
Ball State University Economist Michael Hicks says early numbers indicate consumers are spending more this year.
Experts expected a 1% decline this year, but instead retail sales rose more than a percent in November.
