(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The annual surge of holiday traffic is underway at the nation’s airports.
10% to 15% more passengers take to the skies over Christmas and New Year's compared to a more typical two-week period.
Forecasters expect air travel to be down about 2% nationwide compared to last year.
But Indianapolis International Airport saw an increase over last year's numbers at Thanksgiving, and expects the same thing again.
