(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana War Memorial Commission (IWMC) has renamed two of it’s large meeting rooms to honor Hoosier veterans.
The rooms were formerly named after esteemed vets that were not from Indiana.
School children were given the opportunity to nominate names.
The IWMC made the final selection naming the rooms after Admiral Raymond Spruance, General David Shoup and Major Samuel Woodfill.
General Stewart Goodwin says the rooms were also refurbished with the help of the Department of Corrections.
The meeting rooms are available to the public.
