(INDIANA STATEHOUSE, IN) - The Indiana House is expected to give overwhelming approval today to an ethics reform package aimed at forcing broader disclosure of gifts from lobbyists to legislators, while shoving a doorstop into the revolving door separating the two.
House Speaker Patrick Bauer (D-South Bend) drafted the plan, which would bar legislators from becoming lobbyists for a year after the expiration of their term, even if they resign before their term is up.
