(MUNCIE, IN) - With the Super Bowl approaching, Indiana retailers say they’re selling alot of big screen T.V.’s.
The advertising screams about price discounts and some stores are offering interest free payment plans.
"Oh sure," says Chris Harlan, Manager of a Target Store in Muncie.
"Lots of blue jerseys!" Harlan says her electronics department is well stocked in anticipation of the run.
Another store manager, Sam Norton, says he saw an increase at his Walmart Supercenter in Vincennes before the AFC Championship Game last Sunday.
"We're certainly selling a lot of T.V's right now," said Norton.
"I would have to assume that's playing a big part in it."
HHGregg has not forgotten the two weeks prior to Super Bowl XLI in 2007, the Colts last trip to the big game, when they beat the Chicago Bears.
"We saw a significant increase in this market just with the excitement about the Colts being there, it had been such a long time," says Jeff Pearson, Vice President of Marketing.
"We're expecting to see the same thing this year."
The Super Bowl traditionally gets one of the biggest television audiences of the year.
