(VALPARAISO, IN) - A team of business people and emergency medical specialists are back in northwest Indiana from a 24-hour visit to earthquake-ravaged Haiti.
Valparaiso businessman Nick Popovich sent his own plane loaded with food, water and medical supplies Thursday morning from the Gary airport to Port-Au-Prince, with a brief stop in Florida.
Lakeshore Public T.V. Reporter Mike Janssen joined them on the flight.
He says the plane brought back three people who needed urgent medical care.
