Congressman Hill Considering Senate Run

(JEFFERSONVILLE, IN) - Indiana Congressman Baron Hill is considering a possible senate run.

The democratic representative said Monday that he is open to the idea of trying to succeed Senator Evan Bayh, who announced his retirement last week.

Hill, who has been visiting troops overseas, said he has not had the chance to speak with Bayh about the opening.

Hill said he will also talk with New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez, Chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, before making a decision.
