(UNDATED) - The 2010 Census Forms will be in the mail next week and the State’s Health Department is concerned about under-counting the population of minorities.
Jennifer Dunlap with the Indiana State Department of Health says under reporting affects the department's share of federal funding for vaccines, especially for children.
She says some minority groups have health issues that affect them exclusively.
An accurate count of minority groups allows the department to budget public health initiatives specifically for them.
