(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - A man wanted for child molesting killed himself following a nearly two-hour standoff with police on the west side of Indianapolis.
Metro Police believe 39-year-old Alfred Grice died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after he fired shots at officers who were serving him with a warrant.
One of those officers suffered a minor scrape while attempting to duck for cover.
Lt. Jeff Duhamel says the department's swat team eventually fired tear gas into the apartment.
The team later sent in a remote-controlled robot with a camera and found Grice's body in a bedroom.
