(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The mother of Ryan White says it’s good to be back in Indiana.
It's been more than two decades since Jeannie White Ginder's son became the national poster child for hiv/aids.
He was kicked out of his Howard County middle school after the school learned the 13 year-old hemophiliac had become infected with aids through a blood transfusion.
Ryan died in 1990.
Ginder says "we have miracles, we have the drugs and treatments, but we still don't have a cure."
Ryan's mom was back in Indiana for an Elton John concert.
The concert benefited the Children's Museum of Indianapolis and the Elton John Aids Foundation.
