(SOUTH BEND, IN) - A catholic priest in South Bend has lost his latest appeal to prevent extradition to his native Ireland.
82-year-old Reverend Francis Markey was arrested in November by U.S. Marshals on a warrant alleging he raped a 15-year-old boy in Ireland in 1968.
Markey plans to appeal the ruling to the U.S. Court of Appeals which could take two or three months.
He is being held without bond in the St. Joseph County Jail.
