(INDIANA STATEHOUSE) - Thousands of Hoosiers frustrated with the government’s tax policies, spending practices and corporate bailouts gathered outside the Indiana Statehouse Thursday for the second annual Tax Day Tea Party.
A crowd of tea party members began to gather at 3:00PM in downtown Indianapolis, carrying signs and waving flags in support of their movement.
Several expressed concern that the country is moving in a socialist direction.
The grassroots organization says its mission is to restore limited government and fiscal responsibility.
Several political candidates who support the movement also attended the event, including Indiana Treasurer of State Richard Mourdock.
