(INDIANAPOLIS) - Arizona may be nearly 1,500 miles from Indiana, but its new immigration law is sparking public outcry in our state.
Local labor and civil rights leaders gathered at the Veterans Memorial Plaza in Indianapolis Wednesday to rally against Arizona's law that allows police officers to question anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant.
According to the law, police do not need a warrant to arrest a person if they have probable cause to believe that the person is in the country illegally.
