(UNDATED) - Property taxes are due Monday in all but six Indiana counties.
Last year, tax bills went out on time in just two counties.
This year, 85 counties are finally caught up.
Department of Local Government Finance Spokeswoman Amanda Stanley credits improved cooperation between local assessors and auditors and the DLGF.
She says counties have worked harder to turn in assessment data on time, and the DLGF has worked to speed up its approvals of final tax rates.
