(UNDATED) - Indiana celebrated an overall increase in I-STEP scores last week, but State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dr. Tony Bennett, says there is still a vast achievement gap in our state.
Bennett says in the 3rd grade, for example, white students passed the English portion of the test by 83% compared to 60% of black students and 62% of Hispanic students.
