(UNDATED) - Why do some of our pets get anxious during storms?
Dr. Karey Wassom says most times the trauma is from a past experience.
He suggests your pet may have been outside during a bad storm and cannot seem to shake the experience.
Old medicine available to treat pets took too long to begin working, often times not calming pets down until the storms had already moved through the area.
But Wassom says new medication takes effect within 15 minutes.
