(UNDATED) - The law is in effect now, but Indiana casinos are not yet ready to collect child support from parents who win big.
The law requires Indiana casinos to withhold gambling pay-offs over $1,200 of any parent in child support arrears.
Casino Association of Indiana President Mike Smith says the state is still working on a real-time only database system that will allow casinos to cross reference names.
Smith says once the system is completed, Belterra Casino in Vevay will serve as the beta-testing site before the system is rolled out to all other casinos in the state.
