Southern Indiana Mayor Dies During Budget Meeting

(ROCKPORT, IN) - The Mayor of Rockport died suddenly Monday evening during a city budget meeting.

72-year-old Nedra Groves suffered an abdominal aortic aneurysm.

She was taken by ambulance to an Owensboro, Kentucky Hospital where she died just before 9:00PM.

Groves was elected mayor of the Spencer County town in November 2007.
