(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - A teenage boy was shot in the legs along the downtown canal in Indianapolis Saturday night.
Sergeant Michael Jefferson with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says a group of about 30 people were gathered near the canal when an altercation broke out and shots were fired.
Witnesses tell police they saw a gun being thrown into the canal.
A scuba team was sent in to recover the gun and witnesses were detained for questioning.
Police do not have any suspects at this time.
