(WASHINGTON, IN) - The U.S. House of Representatives approved legislation Tuesday containing emergency funds to help states cope with the great recession and stop massive layoffs of educators.
The legislation would provide $270 million in federal funding for Indiana and help save 3,600 jobs.
The Indiana State Teachers Association say the vote is vital for children in our state.
