(WASHINGTON, D-C) - The National Transportation Safety Board held hearings in Washington D.C.
Tuesday and Wednesday on the crash and explosion of a cargo tank semi-trailer on the far northeast side of Indianapolis last October 22nd.
It happened when the truck carrying liquefied petroleum gas struck a guardrail.
Representatives from the Indiana Department of Transportation participated in the hearings.
INDOT Spokesman Will Wingfield says the crash serves as an example of a larger national discussion about tankers and rollover crashes involving tankers.
