(UNDATED) - A number of field fires broke out Thursday in the southern half of Indiana due to the dry conditions.
Approximately 10 fire departments, including some from Decatur and Shelby counties, battled a field fire in southern Rush County.
The fire, in some corn and soybean fields, was approximately two miles wide.
An evacuation was ordered in the town of Williamstown after the fire crossed a road and threatened the community.
There were no known injuries.
