(UNDATED) - Former Indiana State Health Commissioner Woody Myers appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” Wednesday nearly 23 years after he was a guest on one of her most controversial episodes.
Myers was the featured medical expert in a show that aired on November, 1987, about the threat of aids to public health.
During the episode, he was involved in a heated exchange with Jerry Waters, a Charleston firefighter who kept a list of aids patients in the community and distributed that list to anyone who wanted it.
Myers spoke with waters again on Oprah's show Wednesday, saying the myths and rumors surrounding the transmission of aids still persist.
