(UNDATED) - A coalition of more than 500 mayors is calling for tougher state laws to crack down on illegal gun purchases.
But not all the members are on board.
A study by mayors against illegal guns concludes the states which export the most illegal guns used in crimes are the states which have ignored the group's legislative agenda.
Indiana, which has passed three of the group's 10 benchmark laws, is the fifth-most common purchase point for exported crime guns, and the eighth-highest per capita.
