(INDIANA STATEHOUSE) - Governor Daniels has fired the Chairman of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, and issued a warning to other agency heads.
A state ethics commission ruling declared the IURC's top lawyer broke no rules by taking a job with Duke energy last month.
But Daniels' General Counsel, David Pippen, says IURC Chairman David Hardy knew about the job talks, and should have removed the lawyer from presiding as an administrative law judge at hearings involving Duke.
Pippen says the state will reopen and review all Duke decisions Scott Storms handled.
