(MARTINSVILLE, IN) - The United Way of Central Indiana is providing Morgan County with $300,000 to help repair damage from flooding in 2008.
The money is from a $45 million dollar grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to the Indiana Association of United Ways.
Representatives from United Way of Central Indiana traveled from Indianapolis to present the checks to local officials today along with Diana Roy, United Way's Morgan County Area Director.
Over the past two years, local officials applied for and were found ineligible for a myriad of state and local funding sources for the remaining costs of repairs to flood damaged roads and bridges.
