(NOBLESVILLE, IN) - Former Geist Money Manager Marcus Schrenker claims he can’t pay child support because he’s broke.
Schrenker testified in court Tuesday for over an hour. In letters presented to the court, he claimed he had more than a million dollars in offshore accounts, and also claimed a bag with 100 pounds of gold fell into a river as he jumped from his plane over Alabama in January 2009.
Schrenker also wants to be able to see his children while in prison, his wife Michelle's attorneys argue he should not see his kids till he is released.
The judge ended the hearing and said it will continue later.
Schrenker was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison on securities fraud charges.
