(ANDERSON, IN) - An off-duty Anderson Police Officer was struck by a car while trying to apprehend a shoplifter.
The officer was working a part-time job at a grocery store Sunday when he tried to stop 23-year-old Johnay Swain, who was suspected of trying to take something from the store.
As Swain drove away in a minivan, the vehicle brushed the officer's side.
Swain was later arrested.
The officer suffered minor injuries.
