(INDIANAPOLIS, IN)- A Metro Police Officer is in the hospital after being shot early Sunday morning.
IMPD Sgt. Paul Thompson says the officer was attempting to break up a fight in the 100 block downtown Indianapolis when a shot was fired that struck the officer in the upper right shoulder.
The officer was taken to Wishard Hospital in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
No arrests have been made.
