(UNDATED) - Efforts are back on to get Indiana lawmakers to pass a statewide smoking ban in the upcoming legislative session.
The American Cancer Society's Vicki Rakowski says it's time for Indiana lawmakers to take a stand for public health and pass a smoke-free law.
A pre-election poll showed 53% of Hoosiers were "likely" or "much more likely" to vote for a candidate who supports smoke-free air legislation.
92% of those polled stated they would be more likely or just as likely to visit establishments that will go smoke-free under a statewide law.
