(INDIANA STATEHOUSE) - Students from all over the state of Indiana gathered at the statehouse Tuesday in the effort to ban texting while driving.
AAA Hoosier Motor Club and many other organizations brought students to talk to their legislators about passing legislation.
AAA Spokesman Greg Seiter says 30 states and Washington D.C. currently have laws in place.
Indiana's law, passed in 2009, only disallows those under 18 from using a cell phone while driving.
