(EVANSVILLE, IN) - An Evansville man has accepted a plea deal in which he will only face one of a variety of child molestation charges after a judge ruled he was not competent to face trial.
26-year-old Christopher Buchanan plead guilty to a single felony charge of child molesting after Vanderburgh County prosecutors dropped six other child molesting and child pornography charges.
Witnesses testified Buchanan is functionally illiterate and unable to understand his rights.
