Woman Dies After Being Found In Ditch

(NEW CASTLE, IN) - A 78-year-old New Castle woman found in a ditch in only her nightgown has died.

Police say a neighbor spotted the woman in the front yard of a home near the intersection of Spiceland Pike and Tara Lane on Friday.

Kathleen Conner was pronounced dead several hours later.

Police said it was 21 degrees outside at the time she was found.

She was lying about five houses from her home.
