(MCCORDSVILLE, IN) - The family of a 28-year-old McCordsville woman is pleading for an explanation of her death in a bizarre shooting two years ago.
Her husband told police that Shanna Jones-Vogt mistook him for someone else, shot him and then was so distraught at discovering what had happened that she turned the gun on herself.
Police say they have no reason to question the story told by 46-year-old Charles Vogt III who suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.
His wife was dead at the scene.
