(STATEHOUSE) - Governor Mitch Daniels is actively considering a run for president, but he’s not come to a conclusion just yet.
Daniels told reporters at the statehouse Thursday, he "owes some people an answer."
One of those he may need to answer is former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, who is in Indianapolis for a three day event for Freedomworks.
Armey is Chairman of the Tea Party Affiliated Grassroots Organization.
When asked if he would endorse Daniels as President, Armey replied "absolutely, we've got a man who is a man of policy, conviction and commitment, not politics".
Daniels says the current standoff in the statehouse has complicated the decision-making process because "I've said all along that one of the major considerations was doing the duty of this job".
