(STATEHOUSE) - Electric-powered race cars, hydrogen fuel cells, and improved wind turbines are among the projects Purdue researchers put on display at the statehouse Tuesday.
Purdue Energy Center Director Maureen McCann says the exhibit is a way to showcase the advances Purdue students and faculty have made in alternative energy.
Students displayed the chassis of race cars which will compete in Purdue's EV Grand Prix next month, an electric-vehicle version of the university's traditional spring go-kart race.
