(GREENSBURG, IN) - Indiana Honda officials are keeping an eye on colleagues and company business in Japan in the wake of last week’s earthquake.
Corporate Affairs Manager John Kahle says there were no Honda Associates from the Indiana Manufacturing Plant assigned to work in Japan and other North American Associates have been contacted.
All Honda operations in North America are working together to collect donations from employees to give to relief efforts through the American Red Cross.
Kahle says operations at the Honda plant in Indiana and the rest of North America are normal for now.
He says it's hard to say if there will be any effects in the future.
Some North American Honda plants rely on parts from Japan.
Honda Motor Company has suspended all production in Japan until at least March 20th.
